The XB12S Lightning debuted for 2004 as the naked streetfighter sibling of the Firebolt, putting the longer-stroke 1203 cc twin in the aluminium fuel-in-frame chassis. It has flat-track style bars, a very short wheelbase and a single big front disc, trading wind protection for torque and wheelie-friendly manners.
